Meet Emily!
Emily is a Senior Recruiting Manager at Vacaré Group.
Emily has been with the company since August of 2021, and will be celebrating her five year anniversary soon. We are very lucky to have her on board.
She is responsible for full-cycle recruiting. She sources, she schedules, she screens, she trains, she confers with clients. She does it all!
Emily resides in Austin, TX and often attends local start-up events and conferences to represent Vacaré Group in the area.
Originally, she started on the scheduling and operations side at Vacaré. After a while, she tried out some phone screens and really enjoyed the recruiting process. She was inspired by “hearing about other people’s backgrounds” and says “…because we work on such a diverse set of technical roles, sales roles, and many more, you’re learning a new language every time you get on a call, which keeps me on my toes.”
She finds this satisfaction through “…conversing with other clients about the different spaces we work in, and what people are passionate about.”
It’s the excitement of learning something new everyday that moves her to begin work each morning. Emily and many others at Vacaré have found a balance of heads-down focus and heads-up interaction.
Being a part of such a people-first company, Emily values how we are candidate focused as well as client focused. “We offer our clients a true consulting model, not working off of commission which gives us a certain level of credibility.” “We can really dive in!”
Emily believes that the candidate focus sets us apart, as we build trust in a way that is effective and authentic. She also treasures being a part of a woman-owned business. “Having a female CEO has been a gift in terms of both team leadership and personal mentorship, and I love that this is part of our core values.”
Emily is a very well-rounded individual…
She studied Classical Voice in Undergrad, speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and lived in Brazil for many years!
