JETCOOL Technologies is seeking a creative, hard-working lead manufacturing engineer to establish and implement the manufacturing strategy for our portfolio of cooling products.
Successful candidates will be experts of the fabrication landscape and enjoy establishing relationships and partnerships with contract manufacturers to deliver products in a fast-growing industry.

Responsibilities
- Investigate, understand capabilities, and build relationships with fabrication partners to qualify them for partnerships in contract manufacturing
- Work closely with the product design team to identify requirements and tradeoffs in the design and build of products
- Continuously stay up to date on preferred manufacturing partners for a large variety of manufacturing scenarios, categorized by volume (e.g. prototyping, small/medium production, large production) and material (e.g. plastics, metals, composites)
- Set strategic vision for manufacturing development, providing pricing, schedule, and production planning expertise
- Perform research of manufacturing techniques and companies to stay up to date on the latest fabrication developments
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a mechanical, aerospace, or industrial engineering major and 3+ years experience in design and manufacturing, OR bachelor’s degree and 5+ years experience
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with fabrication partners
- Desire to visit manufacturing sites to understand capabilities, build relationships, and verify processes
- Flexibility to adapt to unforeseen requirements/specifications changes
- Comfortable in a fast-paced technology startup with multiple simultaneous projects
- Demonstrated competence and experience with Solidworks
- U.S. Citizenship is required
Bonus Points!
- Master’s degree focused on a manufacturing discipline
- Experience in manufacture of designs involving small parts or precision features
- Experience in the scaling of manufacturing for hardware startups
- Experience in the scale up of a new product line with evolving fabrication requirements
- Experience in design and manufacture of fluid modules, including fittings, tubing, gasket seals, etc.
- Awareness of challenges in operations, logistics, quality assurance, and supply chain management
- Industry experience in aerospace/defense, automotive, and/or data center hardware

This full-time position is based out of our Littleton, MA offices. The position will involve up to 10% travel subject to developments in the COVID-19 pandemic.
